V AC/DC Differential Controller
USDT
2001/24 is an advanced temperature differential controller. It is
a microprocessor based temperature controller that regulates solar
water heating systems. The USDT 2001 can be powered by a 24 volts
DC or AC source to monitor supply and return temperatures.
A green LED illuminates when the supply temperature exceeds
the return temperature by a programmable temperature difference (∆T.)
An internal relay can power a 3.5 A (75 W, 24 V source) pump or an
auxiliary relay (6 A Maximum current draw).
To avoid overheating the controlled system, the pump stops when
the supply temperature reaches a programmable maximum temperature
(TMAX). Frost
or cooling protection is regulated through return temperature
monitoring. Regardless of the temperature difference (∆T),
the pump runs when the return temperature is below a programmable
minimum temperature (Tmin).
The system offers an adjustable temperature hysteresis in
advanced operation mode to avoid pump cycling. |

The controller operates with both
thermistor and PT 1000 sensors. PT 1000 sensors are recommended
for high temperature regulation. A user can select the sensor type
in the controller’s advanced operation mode. The standard unit
includes one thermistor and one PT 1000 sensor. The system
diagnostics are powerful and acute; they display potential system
problems such as sensor or pump failures. The suggested retail
price for a controller and two sensors is $ 159.00.
